1,200 Job Offers at IIT Delhi So Far, Including 50 International

IIT Delhi has made an impressive start to its ongoing placement season, with students securing over 1,200 job offers, including pre-placement offers. Among these, more than 50 are international job offers from 15+ companies based in countries such as Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the US.

“We’ve had an excellent start to this year’s placement season, and we expect this positive trend to continue. The Office of Career Services (OCS) is focused on expanding the range of companies and job profiles in the coming days,” said Professor Naresh Varma Datla, the Professor in charge of OCS.

The placement season caters to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Professor Suresh Neelakantan, Co-Professor in charge of OCS, stated, “We appreciate our recruiters for recognizing the talent and potential of our students, and we congratulate the students for their perseverance and outstanding efforts.”

Recruiters Making Double-Digit Offers on Campus Include:

American Express, Barclays, BCG, BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Private Limited, Deutsche India Pvt Ltd, Goldman Sachs, Google, Graviton Research Capital, Intel India, Meesho, Micron Technology, Microsoft, OLA, Oracle, PayU, Quadeye, Qualcomm, Robust Results Private Limited, Shiprocket, Squarepoint Capital, Texas Instruments, Trident Group, and Turing Global India Pvt Ltd.

During the 2023-24 placement cycle, IIT Delhi students secured 1,222 job offers and 741 internship offers. According to an exit survey, only 5% of the graduating students were still seeking career opportunities, with most of them being PhD scholars aiming for post-doctoral research positions abroad.

In Phase 1 of last year’s placement drive, over 50 international offers came from around 20 companies. The highest international package was ₹2 crore per annum, while the highest domestic package stood at ₹1 crore per annum. Around 50 students secured packages exceeding ₹1 crore.

The number of students participating in on-campus placements during the 2023-24 cycle increased by 25% compared to the previous year. Notably, there was a six-fold rise in the number of PhD scholars seeking job offers. The total number of graduates rose by 10%, with a 30% increase in PhD graduates.

IIT Delhi continues to set benchmarks for student success.
