Today, Donald Trump is expected to appear at his trial for civil fraud. Despite Judge Arthur Engoron rejecting his request to participate in the defense’s closing statement, the former president remains hopeful.

Addressing concerns about the impact of courtroom proceedings on his campaign leading up to the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire Primary, Trump dismissed the notion last night, stating to ABC News, “No – we’re leading by record numbers.”

The defense team is scheduled to present their closing arguments from 10:15 a.m. ET to 12:45 p.m. ET, while the state’s closing statement is set for 2:15 p.m. ET to 4:30 p.m. ET.

It has been revealed that the defense plans to use the majority of their allotted time. The attorney general’s office has indicated that their closing statement is expected to last approximately one hour, based on emails disclosed in the court’s docket yesterday.
