Unveiling the Trends: New Poll Indicates a Significant Shift in Public Opinion Regarding Trump and the Jan. 6 Riots
According to a survey jointly conducted by The Washington Post and the University of Maryland, there has been a decline in the proportion of people attributing responsibility to former President Trump for the Capitol Hill riots on January 6. In December 2023, approximately 53% of the respondents stated that the former president was either significantly or partially responsible for the riots, down from 60% in 2021.
The survey engaged 1,024 adults through online and phone interviews conducted from December 14th to 18th, 2023, shedding light on this shift in public perception.
